Mi cuarto es el único de toda mi casa que no es totalmente blanco. Lo pinté yo sola y por mucho tiempo estaba obsesionada con que no se ensuciaran las paredes, pero con el tiempo me he vuelto más permisiva.
El póster gigante es del centro de arquitectura de Bordeaux. Me lo gané en una rifa que hicieron en Facebook. Fue una de las cosas que me tenía que traer a Honduras a como diera lugar.
In order to celebrate the rare and fleeting event of having cleaned my bedroom, I wanted to share some pictures of it, since I would like to have some registry of how organized it once looked.

My old readers already know Tofi, the brown bear on the left I got when I was in 5th grade. The giant dog is a memento from an old flame which has survived because he’s very comfortable to sleep with. Those who are addicted to World of Warcraft will recognize the Wind Rider stuffed animal and the doll is a gift to my mom who keeps company to all of these boys.

El puerquito del fondo es una alcancía de barro estilo punk que me hizo la hermana de Yanis. Yanis por su lado me regaló una alcancía de puerquito que uno mismo va a pintar y que nunca me he sentado a hacerlo. Y la foto en la retratera es de los aleros reunidos.
The little piggy in the back is a punk piggy bank Yanis’ sister gave me. Yanis on the other hand gave me another piggy bank that can be painted but I haven’t had the time to. And in the picture in the photo frame is with my friends.
Mi mesa de dibujo la hizo mi abuelo y era de mi papá. Estaba rezagada en la bodega hasta que se me ocurrió estudiar arquitectura. Mi carrera fue la decisión que salvó la mesa, ya que todo lo que está en la bodega ha terminado arruinado por la humedad y por los ratones.
La máquina de escribir se la compró mi mamá pero no pude evitar quitársela porque siempre había querido tener una, por muy hipster que suene.
My drawing table was made by my grandfather and it belonged to my dad. It was put away in a storage room until I decided to study architecture. This decision saved the table, because all of the things that were left in the storage room were damaged because of the humidity and mice.
My mom bought the typewriter but I couldn’t help keep it since I always wanted one, no matter how hipster it sounds.
The poster in the back is the genealogy of the kings of France. It’s from one of those gift shops in the museums and I always wanted one.

En mi mesita de noche tengo los libros supuestamente prioritarios por leer. Pero ahorita estoy en transición y obsesionada por todo lo griego así que creo que voy a leer “La Ilíada”.
On my bedside table I have the books which should have priority to be read. But I’m in a transition right now and I’m currently obsessed with all things Greek so I think I’ll just read “The Iliad”.
